Horseback riding on the Baltic Sea
Firmly in the saddle
A riding vacation in our beautiful Mecklenburg natural landscape is worthwhile in any season. In the Rostock Heath, for example, there are a good 60 km of riding trails that lead through one of the last large, contiguous forest areas on the German Baltic Sea coast. The surrounding area includes an extensive local recreation area where you can enjoy the unspoiled landscape and explore the secrets of the forest. A special highlight is Stolper Ort: a section of beach where riding is allowed all year round.
Whether as a first riding experience for your children or to pursue your favorite hobby during your Baltic Sea vacation – many stables and riding camps offer a colorful program of riding courses and excursions across the country or on the beach. For example, at the Börgerende riding camp, as an experienced rider, you can take individual riding lessons and participate in excursions to the beach and the Nienhagen forest. Here, you also have the option of accommodating your own horse in a guest horse box during your vacation stay upon request.
